I know I just posted, but I am going to post again really fast...jaja.
This week is the birthday of Tlaxiaco, so there are rides and festivities going on EVERYWHERE!! This goes on for two weeks..it is the the biggest party of the year for them, next to Dia los muertes, which is coming up soon. Anyway, yesterday was the start of all of this...I was walking through town and every 20 minutes there was a parade coming through...not even kidding. hahaa! Anyway, the cars were throwing out candy, I tried to get some, but the kids almost beat me up. :) There was this one truck that was giving out ice cream....and i was like...WHAAAAT!! So, of course I started to chase it...a long with 50,000 other people....and my my hand was in the window and i was just running a long with them....everyone was knocking each other over, but they wouldnt give me ice cream!!! I was so sad...they did give me a sucker though. oh welll...apparently watching all of this was hillarious though because I was with Monica (one of the girls here) and when i got back to where we were standing she was laughing so hard she was in tears. along with a few other bystanders. I guess seeing a group of people chasing after a parade with a crazy white girl amongst them is just a funny thing to watch. :-)
so that's all I have to say about that.
I am craving a chocolate milkshake like you would not even understand!!!!
I am way excited for Christmas...there is lots of "christmas cheer" going on around the base. Well at least in the girls dorm....we always play christmas music at night, and we watched elf last night!
k....umm.....time to finish my homework now....mondays are the only day we have off...pretty much every other day is insane. maybe not insane..just busy.
class is from 9:30-2.....then lunch is at 2...chores at 3...and on tuesdays and thursdays we teach english from 4-6 then we all meet for tacos in town at 7. On the days we dont teach english, it's just whatever we want to do...hanging out with friends we've met in town....homework....teaching English to other people...or whatever...yeah you get the picture. The only other required thing we have to do is spend saturday in town all day, in the market or hanging out building relationships in the barrio where we teach english in. so yep...I need to stop procrastinating now.
